Hushpuppies in Henderson

Food was ok, fried green bean app was great. Ordered 8 oysters, they were kind of small, but there was 11 of them on my plate. Service was good; waitress was efficient but needs some people skills. Catfish was really good; Cole slaw tasted like the walk-in. All in all, an ok place to eat with some room for improvement. I was going to give them 3 stars, but gave them the benefit of the doubt, considering that we were seated at 2:30.

This place is unfortunately headed downhill and shows no sign of rebounding. They no longer offer fried Oreos, they seem to be out of their boudain jalepeno sauce every time I go, most recently when I ordered catfish filets for take out they gave me whole catfish with fins, bones and all instead. Two years ago this was one of my favorite restaurants, now it's just another mediocre choice in a town with little to choose from.

They are now serving breakfast. Great Mexi Plate and breakfast burritos.

Best catfish I have ever eaten. Order the fried mushrooms and all you can eat catfish. You will not be disappointed!!

Wonderful food and a very reasonable price. A lot of atmosphere of old time relics. Waitress was very good too.

Had fish tacos grilled really enjoyed them tonight. Always a good stop when I come to Henderson from seafood to burgers.

My family and I were ecstatic about eating here during our time in Texas. We went back on 3 different occasions during the CoVid-19 scare. Each occassion brought a different feeling. Our first visit was spot on with service and quality of food. As we begin to frequent HushPuppies more often we started seeing the what they really were about. Pricing seemed to change throughout our visits; crawdads were $4.99 lb. without corn and potatoes and $5.99 with corn and potatoes. My most recent visit crawdads were $6.99 a lb. without anything. These visit were days apart. My lady wanted her food grilled not fried upon receiving our meal it came fried. It wouldn't been a problem but why do we pay for something grilled if it comes out fried. I would come back here but only for their CrawDads. Just make sure pricing on your website and what your store says holds truth.

We love this place! Fried green tomatoes are like my nanny used to make! And the fried catfish fillets are amazing! Great sides and awesome customer service! Worth the drive! Our favorite place for seafood

Hushpuppies has some great Southern comfort food. They are definitely the best place to eat in Henderson. They have great burgers, as well. Their catfish and shrimp are fried to perfection. Service is spotty. Do not go when they have large crowds. They're kitchen cannot keep up with the demand, and mostly teenage waitstaff. Go Mon - Fri in the afternoon or lunch, or Sat - Sun before 6pm. Every time we have fought a crowd our food hasn't been good at all. And service was below standards to keep up with tables. Great food ain't that great when it's cold. So don't fight the crowd, go at a good time and you'll get some good results.

Wow is all I can say... We were so disappointed .... We had been here one time before and were so happy to eat in again but it wasnt even good... It was fresh food before and everything tasted frozen this time .... Service was super slow and everything was bland.... There were 6 of us and not one enjoyed our food... Don't know if any of us will drive out of our way again to heat here

Upbeat atmosphere and amazing food! Waitstaff goes above and beyond to serve you. The gumbo is the BEST I have ever tasted! Softshell crab is great too. Will be back!

Food is wonderful, service not so good tho. Besides that it’s a great place. They have large tables for big Families, totally where locals eat . Inside our outside areas

Haven’t been in a while but I’m glad we went today. The food was fresh and tasted delicious. Andrue was an amazing server who checked in on us often. A great seafood option for Henderson.
